Our Favourite Pumpkin Soup

Make your own delicious Pumpkin Soup in the Omniblend, plus add some spices to give it a kick. A wonderful warmer for your lunch or chilly winter evenings.

You’ll need:
  • 4 cups chopped pumpkin (you can also use butternut or buttercup squash)
  • 0.5 L stock – homemade or use our fabulous Chicken bone broth – after thawing, bring to the boil, allow to cool somewhat before blending
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ½ tsp dry roasted cumin seeds
  • 0.5 cm piece of turmeric root (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ground pepper.
  • A high-powered blender

Remove the bung from the lid, cover with a cloth.

Blend for 60 secs until ingredients are well mixed, then blend on HIGH  until hot (about 4 min).

Enjoy with your own home-made sourdough rye bread
